The Greenburgh Conservation Advisory Council and Greenburgh Nature Center will present "The Tappan Zee Bridge Project: An Update From The Governor" at 7 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 14 at the Greenburgh Nature Center at 99 Dromore Road in Scarsdale, according to a press release.
The meeting will feature guest Brian Conybeare, special adviser to the governor for the new Tappan Zee Bridge Project, as he presents the governor's plan for the new bridge, according to the release. The governor's Tappan Zee Bridge Community Outreach Team is also scheduled to meet "with local groups in the lower Hudson region to discuss the overall new NY Bridge project in an effort to help make this project transparent and accessible to all of the groups and individuals concerned with the impacts of this project to themselves and the region," according to the release.
"The discussion includes presenting the winning design-build team, the proposed design and features of the soon to be new NY Bridge, the project schedule, employment opportunities, and sub-contracting opportunities," representatives said in the release. "Many Hudson Valley residents recognize Conybeare from his 16 years as the three-time Emmy Award winning reporter and anchor at News 12 Westchester. Brian was appointed by the governor in July to help lead the community outreach team for the Tappan Zee Bridge Replacement Project."
