3 School Resource Officers To Serve This Westchester District In New 5-Year Deal Three police officers will serve in a Northern Westchester school district under a new five-year agreement to strengthen school safety, officials said. Westchester County Executive Ken Jenkins finalized the agreement with the Lakeland Central School District, the county announced on Monday, Sept. 14.  Under the deal, three members of the Westchester County Department of Public Safety will serve as School Resource Officers, or SROs, in the district.
