Four Baby Squirrels Rescued After Tails Found Stuck Together In Dutchess Four baby squirrels found tied together by their tails were rescued by a wildlife officer after receiving a report of the squirrels in distress. The babies were discovered in Dutchess County last month when the state Department of Environmental Conservation responded to the call from the hamlet of Verbank, in the town of Union Vale. Services Scheduled For Dutchess Woman Struck, Killed By After Exiting BMW Services have been scheduled for the lifelong area resident who was struck and killed by a full-size truck after exiting her stopped vehicle on a stretch of Route 82 in Dutchess County earlier this month. Hope Ann McLucas was 54. The incident occurred around 9:15 p.m. on Friday, June 7 in the Town of Washington. An initial investigation found a white 2006 BMW 325 was parked southbound on Route 82 near South Road in the center of her lane of travel with her vehicle flashers on, state police said.
