Storm Knocks Out Power To Thousands In Area
Thousands in the area have lost power as a storm system has brought heavy rain and wind gusts topping 50 mph to the Hudson Valley.
As of 1 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 30, Central Hudson was reporting 18 active outages that were impacting 1,035 customers: 624 in Ulster County, 180 in Dutchess, 125 in Columbia County, and 106 in Greene County.
A total of 2,678 of NYSEG’s 901,052 customers, including 1,229 in Dutchess, 420 in Sullivan, and 362 in Ulster, are without power.
Orange & Rockland Utilities were reporting 13 outages that were impacting 2,234 of its 303,406 customers.

Barbara M. Sullivan died peacefully at her home in Bedford on Monday, July 2, in the company of her loving family. She was 90.
She was born Barbara A. McGrath to Dr. James B. and Stella McGrath of Riverdale. She spent happy summers with her family, including her two sisters, Nancy and Suzie, in Westhampton Beach, Long Island where she enjoyed sailing, swimming in the ocean and long walks along the beach -- a lifelong passion.

Measles Exposure Warning Includes Location Near Dutchess Border
Three locations in New York City and the Hudson Valley may have been exposed to measles, according to state health officials.
Anyone who visited these locations on the listed dates may have been exposed, state health officials said:
Watchtower Education Center, Watchtower Drive, Patterson (Tuesday, April 17, between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m.)
Watchtower World Headquarters, Kings Drive, Tuxedo Park (Monday, April 16, between 11 a.m. and 4:30 p.m.)
Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses on New Jersey Avenue, Brooklyn (Sunday, April 15, between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m.)
