On Saturday, Sept. 21, State Police from Stormville arrested Oscar G. Tapia, 36, of Mount Vernon, for DWI with two prior convictions within ten years, a felony. He was traveling on the Taconic State Parkway in the town of East Fishkill, when he was stopped for a violation of the vehicle and traffic law. Investigation revealed he was under the influence of alcohol, and was subsequently arrested.

On Friday, March 15, State Police troopers from Wappinger arrested Joshua Davis, 48, of Wappinger, for DWI. He was traveling on State Route 9D in Wappinger, when he was stopped following an erratic vehicle complaint. Investigation revealed that he was impaired by alcohol, and was subsequently arrested.

Woman, 73, Killed In Two-Car Sullivan County Crash
A motorist from Bergen County failed to stop at a stop sign before crossing the double yellow lines while turning in a crash that resulted in the death of a 73-year-old woman in the Hudson Valley, police said.
On Friday, July 20, at about 9:20 a.m., state police from the Liberty barracks responded to a motor vehicle accident at the intersection of Route 17 westbound exit 100A in the town of Liberty in Sullivan County.
Their investigation revealed that a 2015 Mercedes-Benz, operated by Edward Schaffner, 77. of Ramsey, exited Route 17 west at exit 100A, according to police.
