Roads Expected To Reopen In Hudson Valley Following Flooding, Hochul Says Several busy main roads in the Hudson Valley are expected to soon reopen following a severe storm system that dropped several inches of rain and resulted in historic flooding, officials said.  The expected road reopenings were announced on Wednesday afternoon, July 12 by New York Governor Kathy Hochul, who said that they will follow several days of intense repair work.  The closures were caused by a severe, slow-moving rainstorm that arrived in the region on Sunday, July 9, and dropped more than eight inches of rain in parts of the Hudson Valley.  Hudson Valley roadways expe…

Man Named Wonderful French Wanted In Hudson Valley Wonderful French is wanted by State Police after he was arrested for drug possession then never showed up in court. French, 50, was reportedly the passenger in a vehicle stopped on State Route 17 in the town of Chester by State Police. He charged with fourth-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance after seven grams of heroin and 11 grams of crack cocaine were found on his person.  French is bald, stands at 6-foot-1, and weighs approximately 275 pounds.  Those with knowledge of his whereabouts are asked to notify State Police at the Monroe barracks by calling 845-782-…

Man Caught With Large Amount Of Raw, Unpackaged Heroin In Area Traffic Stop A 45-year-old man is behind bars after he was found to be in possession of a large quantity of raw, unpackaged heroin during a traffic stop, state police said. Troopers patrolling State Route 17 in the Town of Wallkill stopped a vehicle traveling westbound for traffic infractions on Saturday, Dec. 29.  During the stop, a passenger in the car, Angel L.
