Jackson of Mount Vernon was killed around 5:25 a.m. Tuesday in the town of Somers after losing control of his vehicle, said Trooper AJ Hicks, spokesman for the New York State Police. An initial investigation suggests Jackson was driving a 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee westbound on State Route 116 when he lost control, causing the vehicle to leave the roadway via the north shoulder, struck a concrete wall, and then overturned, Hicks said.  Jackson was extricated from the vehicle by So…

Popular Area Deli Damaged In Fire A quick response and plenty of help enabled firefighters to save a popular Northern Westchester deli and pizzeria from a fast-moving fire, according to the Croton Falls Fire Chief Dan Dreyer. The department received a call for the fire at Kingsley's Deli & Pizzeria in North Salem around 10:49 p.m. Sunday, from a resident of one of the upstairs apartments who saw smoke coming from the building, Dreyer said.
