Crash Involving State Trooper Leads To Road Closure In Area A major roadway in the area has reopened following a crash involving a New York State Police cruiser. The crash took place early Thursday, Feb. 4, in Ulster County, on Route 9W in Milton, closing a section of the roadway for several hours, said Trooper Steven Nevel. Nevel did have additional information surrounding the crash, only that the trooper was "OK." The crash took place around 1:40 p.m., Wednesday, June 19 on Route 9W, north of Lattintown Road, said Town of Newburgh Police Lt. James Nenni. According to Nenni, one person was killed and several were injured in the crash. The road, from Lattintown Road to Old Post Road, was closed for hours while the investigation continued.
