Sullivan County resident March Santiago, of Roscoe, was recently arrested while the town of Fallsburg Police was conducting seatbelt enforcement and stopped him in a 2013 Toyota Camry on Route 42 in South Fallsburg, said Fallsburg Police Chief Simmie Williams. Man Accused Of Stabbing Grandfather In Region An area man has been arrested for allegedly stabbing his grandfather. The incident took place in Sullivan County on Friday, Dec. 16, in South Fallsburg. According to Undersheriff Eric Chaboty, of the Sullivan County Sheriff's Office, deputies responded to a report of a person who had been stabbed and sought treatment at an urgent care facility in Monticello. Once at the clinic, the man, who had been stabbed in the abdomen, was rushed by ambulance to Garnet Hospital in Harris, Chaboty said. The victim was then transported to Garnet Orange Regional Medical Center where he underwent surgery.…

ID Released For Woman Killed In Two-Vehicle Crash A woman killed in a two-vehicle crash in the Hudson Valley has been identified.  It happened around 6:30 a.m., Friday, Feb. 21, in Sullivan County on Route 42 and Larsen Lane in South Fallsburg, said Fallsburg Police Det. Travis Hartman. The woman, a driver of one of the vehicles who is now identified as 52-year-old Catherine Earing, of Woodbourne in Sullivan County, was pronounced dead at the scene.
