Phyllis DeWitt Of Putnam Sheriff's Department Calls It A Career Phyllis DeWitt, a longtime employee of the Putnam County Sheriff's Office called it a career on Friday. DeWitt, who started working for the county in 1985 with the Probation Department where she worked until 2001 when she moved to the Sheriff’s Office's Civil Division.  After 23 years, fellow employees wished her well and thanked her for all her years of service.
