A man from Northern Westchester faces charges after violating a restraining order against a woman he allegedly strangled in Putnam County, authorities said. Peekskill resident Dany Villa-Carchipulla was arrested on Thursday, Feb. 2 at his residence for the violations, the Putnam County Sheriff's Office announced on Tuesday, Feb. 7. Tinted Window Violation Leads To Felony Drug Arrest For Woman In Hudson Valley
Dark tinted windows and a suspended license led to an alleged drug arrest for a Northern Westchester woman. Peekskill resident Maya Jean-Louis, age 21, was stopped on East Main Street in Yorktown on Tuesday, Aug. 16 for excessively tinted windows. After a DMV check, officers found her license was suspended. During an investigation, the department's K-9 indicated the presence of the odor of narcotics in the vehicle, the Yorktown Police said. 69-Year-Old Hudson Valley Man Accused Of Violating Protection Order
A 69-year-old man allegedly violated a court-issued order of protection in Northern Westchester by texting someone, police said. The Yorktown Police Department announced the arrest of Peekskill resident Michael Rispoli, who was charged with a misdemeanor count of second-degree criminal contempt for allegedly sending messages to his victim. Dutchess Man Injured In Route 9 Crash
Three local residents injured in a head-on crash on Route 9 had to be airlifted to Westchester Medical Center, officials said. The crash occurred around 5 p.m. Wednesday when a vehicle driving south veered into the oncoming lane and struck a northbound car, said state police. The Garrison Volunteer Fire Company said in a Facebook post that two medical helicopters landed at their firehouse and that several good Samaritans stopped to help as well as Captain Mike Gallo of East Fishkill FD.
