Roadwork To Affect Danbury Branch Train Service Roadwork is expected to impact service on the Danbury Branch for consecutive weekends as crews complete a road realignment project, the MTA announced. From Friday, July 19 through Sunday, July 21; and Friday, July 26 and Sunday, July 28, Connecticut State Department of Transportation crews will realign the intersection of Long Ridge Road and Simpaug Turnpike in Redding to correct a severe skew that has caused safety issues, primarily on the highway.
