A 22-year-old man from the region is behind bars on a slew of charges including the unauthorized use of a vehicle he allegedly stole. Sullivan County resident March Santiago, of Roscoe, was recently arrested while the town of Fallsburg Police was conducting seatbelt enforcement and stopped him in a 2013 Toyota Camry on Route 42 in South Fallsburg, said Fallsburg Police Chief Simmie Williams. Loud Exhaust Leads To Gun Charge For Man From Region, Police Say A 34-year-old man from the region has been charged with alleged possession of a loaded gun after fleeing from police during a traffic stop for a loud exhaust. The incident took place in Sullivan County around 11 p.m., Tuesday, Feb. 28, in the area of the old Leisure Time water company on Route 42 in Lake Kiamesha. The incident took place in Sullivan County on Saturday, Feb. 18 in Fallsburg. Lisa M. Body Recovered After Swimmer Goes Missing In Region The body of a 46-year-old man was recovered in the region after police said he struggled to swim in a river and was swept away by the current.  At 4 p.m. on Saturday, July 24, New York State Police in Sullivan County and Fallsburg Police responded to a report of a drowning in the area of a bridge crossing near Old Falls Road in Fallsburg.
