Lifelong Dutchess County Resident Dies At Age 47 A longtime tech worker in the Hudson Valley died at the age of 47 at his home. Jamie Brian Paterson of Hyde Park, a lifelong Dutchess County resident, lived in of Hyde Park and was born in Poughkeepsie to Daniel M. Paterson and Linda J. (Steele) Paterson. Paterson graduated from FDR High School in Hyde Park in 1994 and then from Dutchess Community College. He was a longtime employee of Southern Westchester BOCES in Rye Brook where he worked in their IT department as a systems engineer, according to his obituary. Dutchess County Health Aide Abused Woman, Dog, Police Say A Hudson Valley woman hired to care for an elderly woman has been charged with neglecting her and a dog after the woman was found wandering in a roadway in a diaper that was duct taped to her. The incident took place in Dutchess County on Tuesday, April 18 around 5:45 p.m. in the area of 116 Roosevelt Road in the town of Hyde Park. Two Injured After Dog Breaks Free To Attack Young Girl In Dutchess A teen and a woman were seriously injured during a dog attack in the Hudson Valley. The incident took place in Dutchess County around 4 p.m., Tuesday, Dec. 7, when a large pit bull broke loose from its owner and attacked the 14-year-old girl and the dog's owner, in the area of Thomas Avenue and Geering Park in the town of Fishkill.
