Hudson Valley Man Admits Stabbing To Death Victim During Altercation Outside Bar A Hudson Valley man has pleaded guilty to manslaughter in the stabbing death of another man outside of a bar. Eric McCollum, age 28, of Newburgh, pled guilty on Tuesday, Nov. 14 under a plea agreement where he is expected to be sentenced to 15 years in prison and five years of post-release supervision, said Orange County District Attorney David Hoovler. The hearing happened on Wednesday, June 20 in Venice, Florida, will determine if the lawsuit filed by Petito's parents will continue to a jury trial. Convicted Murderer Found Guilty Of Threatening Cops With Knife In Region A convicted murderer serving a life sentence has been found guilty of threatening police with a knife during an attempted arrest in the region. Najahliek Edmunds, age 26, of Albany, was arrested in October 2018 in Columbia County by Hudson Police. Officers had been called to the Hudson Terrace Apartments on Front Street for a domestic violence incident and encountered Edmunds holding a large kitchen knife, according to the Columbia County District Attorney’s Office.
