An alert was issued by the Town of Poughkeepsie Police Department as they attempt to track down Leta Freedom, who was first reported missing on Dec. 8, 2021, in Dutchess County. Freedom was last seen in the area of Main Street and Clinton Street in the City of Poughkeepsie, according to police. Investigators described Freedom as being 5-foot-7 with a light-skinned complexion, weighing approximately 175 pounds with blonde hair and brown eyes.…

Two Officers, Residents Injured During Melee Involving Juveniles On Bikes In Poughkeepsie Two City of Poughkeepsie police officers were injured after responding to numerous calls reporting a fight in progress and possible home invasion. The incident began around 8:55 p.m., on Friday, May 17, when 911 received numerous calls of a fight in the area of Thompson Street, said City of Poughkeepsie Capt. Richard Wilson. When police, detectives, and members of the Neighborhood Recovery Unit responded to the scene they found that numerous juveniles had fled the area all on bicycles, Wilson said.
