Some Divisions Will Be Closed During Move To New HQ, Dutchess Sheriff's Office Says The Dutchess County Sheriff’s Office announces that shortly it will be moving into its new headquarters, and consequently some of its divisions will need to be temporarily closed during the move.  The Sheriff’s Office is currently at 150 No. Hamilton St., in Poughkeepsie, however, it’s scheduled to be moved to 108 Parker Ave., during the third week of February. Phyllis DeWitt Of Putnam Sheriff's Department Calls It A Career Phyllis DeWitt, a longtime employee of the Putnam County Sheriff's Office called it a career on Friday. DeWitt, who started working for the county in 1985 with the Probation Department where she worked until 2001 when she moved to the Sheriff’s Office's Civil Division.  After 23 years, fellow employees wished her well and thanked her for all her years of service.
