Bicyclist Seriously Injured After Being Hit By SUV On Route 376 A 47-year-old bicyclist was seriously injured after being hit by a compact SUV in the Town of Poughkeepsie. The crash took place around 8:08 p.m. Wednesday on Route 376 (New Hackensack Road) near Cedar Valley Road when a 46-year-old Poughkeepsie resident driving a 2012 Honda CR-V, struck the Poughkeepsie resident, said Town of Poughkeepsie Police Lt. Brian Wagner.  The bicyclist sustained serious non-life threatening injuries and was transported to a local hospital, Wagner said. Wappingers Teacher, Spackenkill Coach Greg Diamond Dies At 29 Gregory Andrew Diamond, 29, a popular teacher and coach at John Jay and Roy C. Ketcham high schools, died unexpectedly on Saturday, Dec. 30, at his home in Poughkeepsie. The cause of his death has not been released. Born on April 28, 1988, in Newburgh, to Lawrence and Andrea (Lapidus) Diamond, the math teacher and JV boys basketball coach at Spackenkill and an assistant varsity coach, graduated from Spackenkill High School in 2006 and was part of their state championship baseball team.  He continued his love of playing baseball at Mount St. Mary College where he graduated with his master's …
