Man, 20, Barricades Himself Inside Carmel Home, Police Say A local man who barricaded himself inside his Carmel home, threatening to hurt himself, was coaxed out by the Carmel Police Department and the Putnam County Sheriff’s Department. Officers were altered to the situation on Bullet Hole Road in Mahopac around 6:20 p.m. Sunday when they were asked to perform a welfare check on the man who was possibly suicidal, police said. An officer from the Carmel Police Department responded to a residence and when he attempted to speak with the man, he became highly agitated.
