Just one day after a popular 17-year-old student was laid to rest, support is pouring in for the family on a GoFundMe page.
Brendan James Maguire, 17, of Patterson died on Monday, Aug 20. He had been diagnosed with osteosarcoma 14 months ago.
He played both basketball and baseball at Kennedy Catholic High School in Somers, where his courage and faith, displayed throughout his illness, inspired all those around him.

A student-athlete who was entering his senior year at John F. Kennedy Catholic High School in Somers has died after a battle with cancer.
