Search Underway For Fisherman Whose Boat Capsized In Area Emergency crews were searching for a missing fisherman in the Hudson Valley Thursday afternoon, Sept. 8. State police and other first responders in Orange County were called at around 7:30 a.m. to an area of the Delaware River in the town of Deerpark with reports of a missing fisherman. Investigators determined that two men had been fishing on the river near Cherry Island State Park when their boat capsized. One of the men made it to shore and received medical treatment, police said. The other man has not been seen since. He was not wearing a life jacket at the time, according to reports…

IDs Released For Victims Of Fatal Boating Accident At Area Reservoir The identities have been released of the two men found dead after a New Year's Eve boating accident in a reservoir in Northern Westchester, New York State Police said. State Police have also confirmed that there are no additional fatalities involved in the incident at the Muscoot Reservoir in the hamlet of Goldens Bridge in the town of Lewisboro. Man Killed After Motorboat Capsizes In Candlewood Lake A 48-year-old man was killed after he was dumped into Candlewood Lake in Brookfield when the 17-foot-boat he was in capsized. Gary Hayes of East Hartford was killed around 12:30 p.m. Sunday, another man, Joseph Miranda, 29, of Manchester, survived, said Chris Collibee, spokesman for the Connecticut Department of Energy and Environmental Protection. According to Collibee, after the boat capsized, Miranda, swam to shore to safety. Hayes was located in the water by EnCon police officers who responded to the scene. Two Pulled From Water After Boat Hits Rock, Sinks In Hudson Valley Two people were rescued from the water off New Rochelle after their boat hit a rock, stranding them in the water. The incident took place around 8:10 p.m. Wednesday near Glen Island Park, said New Rochelle Police Capt. J.C. Coyne. According to Coyne, the two unidentified people had been out boating when they hit a rock and their boat began to sink.  Luckily, New Rochelle Officer Timothy Childs was out paroling the harbor when he spotted the two in trouble.
