Gloria M. Vallone, 86, Of West Nyack
WEST NYACK, N.Y. – Gloria M. Vallone, of West Nyack, died Friday, May 27 at home. She was 86.
Vallone was born July 16, 1929 in the Bronx to James and Mary (nee Walsh) Ancona.
She was a seamstress and designer who designed and constructed wedding gowns in her home, and made custom furniture and designs for the American Girl dolls with her husband.
She was predeceased by her parents; sister Elinor; and brother Joseph.

Gustav J. Richard, 88, Of Hyde Park
HYDE PARK, N.Y. – Gustav J. "Gus" Richard, a longtime Hyde Park resident, died on Friday, May 27, at Vassar Brothers Medical Center. He was 88.
Richard was born on Feb. 4, 1928, to Leo and Marguerite Monahan Richard.
He served in the Navy. He was a retired union electrician with the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers in 1990.

Robert P. Mirabelle, 48, Of Wappingers Falls
WAPPINGERS FALLS, N.Y. – Robert P. Mirabelle, of Wappingers Falls and Manhattan, died on Wednesday, May 25. He was 48.
Mirabelle was born in Mount Kisco on July 3, 1967, to Mary Ann Connors Mirabelle and Robert P. Mirabelle. He was raised in Wappingers Falls and graduated from Ketcham High School and Marist College in Poughkeepsie.
He went on to graduate from the Culinary Institute of Americain Hyde Paek, becoming a sous-chef and eventually executive chef at the New York Marriott at the Brooklyn Bridge, earning Chef of the Year honors from Marriott International.

RHINEBECK, N.Y. – Caroline H. O'Malley of Rhinebeck and formerly of Rhinecliff died at her home Friday, May 27. She was 95
O'Malley was born Aug. 13, 1920, in Groningen, Holland to Gotftred Karl and Anje (nee Emmelkamp) Plagg and emigrated to America through Ellis Island in 1921.
She was active with St. Stephen of Hungary Church and School in New York, the Good Shepherd/St. Joseph Parish, the Senior Friendship Center and the Welcome Club at Wells Manor.

Ramapo Police Deal With Multiple Car Accidents
RAMAPO, N.Y. – Ramapo police dealt with 12 vehicle accidents and other incidents on Friday.
The accidents took place on Buena Vista Avenue, Locust Street, East Eckerson Road in Hillcrest (two), College Road, Fred Eller Drive, Route 59 (two), Wiener Drive and Old Nyack Turnpike in Monsey, and two more on Route 59 in Airmont and Montebello. No one was hurt.
In total, there were 148 calls for service, including nine medical emergencies, 18 alarm activations, seven fire calls, and two arrests for operating a motor vehicle with a suspended registration and a bench warrant.
Andrew J. Veno Jr., 57, Of Westport
WESTPORT, Conn. – Andrew J. Veno, Jr., of Westport, died on Wednesday, May 25. He was 57.
Veno was born in Norwalk to Marie and Andrew J. Veno, Sr.
He graduated from Staples High School and took over Andrew Veno Excavating Company from his father.
He is survived by his mother, two sisters, Agnes of Westport, and Jo-Ann Porch and her husband, Stephen,of Parkland, Fla.; and his grandmother.
