Police: Amenia ID Theft Suspect Made Hundreds Of Dollars In ATM Withdrawals

A 21-year-old Dutchess County man is facing nearly a dozen charges after allegedly making ATM withdrawals for more than a month with a card that was not his own.

An investigation into the fraudulent use of a debit card led to the arrest of Amenia resident Thomas Justry, who allegedly withdrew $349.50 utilizing the card of a person known to him.

Justry was arrested this week and charged with nine counts of identity theft and fourth-degree grand larceny, all felonies. He was also charged with a misdemeanor count of unlawful use of personal identification.

Following arraignment, Justry was issued an appearance ticket and released on his own recognizance. He is due back in the Town of Amenia Court on Jan. 2 to answer the charges against him.
