On Monday, Nov. 21, the state’s Cannabis Control Board approved the first recreational marijuana licenses for 28 business owners and eight nonprofit organizations. Covid-19: Cuomo To Push For Legal Marijuana, Sports Betting In NY To Close $15B Deficit With New York State facing a record-setting $15 billion deficit due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Gov. Andrew Cuomo is once again pushing for legalized marijuana and sports betting to help raise revenues.
