Town Supervisor In Westchester: Con Ed Should Reimburse Residents To the Editor: Currently, New York State law does not require Con Ed to reimburse residents who lost electricity for more than one day for their suffering, hotel bills, eating out or food spoilage issues. Residents of Greenburgh who were out of power for many days after the last Nor'easter have lost significant dollars on hotel rooms, food and have suffered greatly. I think that Con Ed should be required to reimburse residents who were out of power for days that they had no power.
