NRC Staff Holds Public Hearing On Indian Point Nuclear Power Performance The Nuclear Regulatory Commission staff will discuss the 2017 safety performance of Indian Point nuclear power plants, operated by Entergy, during a public meeting on June 21 in Tarrytown. Indian Point Workers Authorize Strike Employees of Indian Point Energy Center in Buchanan could be going on strike as early as next week. More than 300 members of Local 1-2, the Utility Workers of America, which represents employees of the nuclear power plant in Northern Westchester, voted to authorize a strike on Thursday. Their contract expires on Wednesday and a strike could happen as early as next week.
