Tuckahoe School Board Chooses New Trustee

TUCKAHOE, N.Y. -- The Tuckahoe Board of Education has appointed Danielle Nealis as its new trustee to fill in the vacant seat for the 2016-17 school year.

The board had five very strong candidates from which to choose for this one seat, according to a release from the Tuckahoe Union Free School District

Nealis' prior involvement in the district, most recently as PTA president, as well as her background and knowledge in the field of education, is what set her apart from the other candidates, according to the release.

Nealis will serve until the next election of the Board of Education in May 2017.
