Eastchester Public Schools Calendar Approved For 2015-16

EASTCHESTER, N.Y. -- The 2015-2016 calendar for Eastchester Public Schools was approved by the Board of Education on Feb. 24.

Creating a calendar for the 2015-16 school year was particularly challenging, given several factors, including Labor Day being so late – Sept. 7; the school year ending on June 24, as set by the New York State Regents testing calendar; Good Friday - Easter, (March 25-27) and Passover (April 22-April 30) being very far apart, leaving no overlap in days off; and the New York State testing schedule also was a factor in determining the spring recess dates. All schools will open prior to Labor Day, on Sept. 3.
