The weekend of Dec. 5 will be a special one in Eastchester, as residents from the village and town come together for a special holiday celebration, beginning with Winterfest in Depot Square on Saturday night – Santa’s first stop.
The following day, on Sunday, Dec. 6, Kris Kringle will head next door to Eastchester, where he will highlight the annual Santa Stop in the park across from Town Hall. The day, beginning at 2 p.m., will feature hot chocolate, crafts for kids, and photos with the man himself, courtesy of the Eastchester-Tuckahoe Chamber of Commerce.
This year, the Chamber is also hosting a holiday bash on Tuesday, Dec. 15, so residents can “say goodbye to choosing between parties and hello to a great mix of our town’s business, entrepreneur, tourism, hospitality, non-profit and attractions communities.”
The holiday season kicks off at Winterfest, with the official tree lighting at 6 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 6 at Depot Square in Tuckahoe – a weekend event that includes outdoor ice skating, hayrides and food vendors. The following day, Sunday, Dec. 7, Santa Claus will be in the park outside Eastchester Town Hall from 2 to 4 p.m. The Chamber will conclude its holiday festivities with a party on Dec. 15 at the Olde Stone Mill restaurant on Scarsdale Road.
