New York Woman Claims $1 Million Lottery Prize
A Long Island woman has won a $1 million lottery prize. Lynn Powell, of Central Islip, claimed a top prize from the New York Lottery’s Emerald 10’s scratch-off game, the lottery announced on Tuesday, June 7. NY Lottery said Powell received her prize as a single, lump-sum payment of $585,900 after required withholdings. The ticket was purchased at the Valero that is located at 404 Clinton St. in Hempstead, the lottery said.

Two Store Clerks Charged With Selling Alcohol To Minor During Detail, State Police Say
Two store clerks were charged with selling alcohol to a minor during an underage enforcement operation conducted by state police in the area. The detail, held on Saturday, May 23 in Dutchess, utilized an underage volunteer to purchase alcohol under the observation of plainclothes investigators and supported by uniformed troopers. A total of 18 store clerks refused to complete the sale of alcohol to the volunteer. Four Store Clerks Charged In Dutchess Underage Drinking Detail
Store clerks from four businesses were charged with selling alcoholic beverages to an undercover state police operative in a detail held in Dutchess County. The detail was held in the towns of Hyde Park and Poughkeepsie on Saturday, Sept. 1. Fourteen additional establishments were checked and found to be in compliance. The four businesses and clerks charged are: Valero – 433 Violet Ave, Hyde Park: Abdallah Alghananim, 30, of Poughkeepsie, charged with unlawfully dealing with a minor, a Class A misdemeanor, and issued an appearance ticket returnable to the Town of Hyde Park Court on Sept.…
