Hydrant-Flushing May Lead To Discolored Water In Croton-On-Hudson Some Cortlandt residents may soon see some slight discoloration in their water as the Croton-on-Hudson Water Department prepares for its semi-annual hydrant flushing program. Beginning on Oct. 1, flushing will be performed from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. each weekday, and is expected to conclude after approximately four weeks. The Water Department will begin the flushing program at the Village well field on Route 129.
