Longtime Area Police Detective Dies Unexpectedly A popular longterm police detective in the Hudson Valley died unexpectedly after nearly 50 years serving the community. This week, the Town of Fishkill Police Department announced that detective Ted “Teddy” Alston died on Monday, Feb. 17.
