Five Westchester Residents Charged With DWI In State Police Stops Nearly two dozen drivers were busted by New York State Police officers for alleged impaired driving on area roadways this past week. Those charged include: Westchester County On Friday, July 12, State Police from Brewster arrested Ismael Martinez Trinidad, 29, of North Salem, for DWI. He was traveling on Tonetta Lake Road in Southeast, when he was stopped for a violation of the vehicle and traffic law. Construction On Salt Point Turnpike Bridge Over Wappinger Creek Starts The construction project on Salt Point Turnpike Bridge over Wappinger Creek is officially underway as of Tuesday, April 16, the New York State Department of Transportation says. The $3.2 million project is intended to improve safety and mobility. It will replace the bridge over Wappinger Creek in the hamlet of Salt Point, Town of Pleasant Valley, Dutchess County. The project includes a complete bridge replacement as well as an adjacent culvert. The new bridge will be equipped with metabolized steel girders with a cast-in-place bridge deck.
