ID Released For Person Struck, Killed By Train In Hudson Valley
Officials with the Metropolitan Transportation Authority have released the identity of a man who was killed after being struck by a train in the Hudson Valley.
Paul Engel, age 67, of Manhattan, was killed in Orange County around 5:30 a.m., Wednesday, Aug. 17 in Scotchtown, a hamlet of the town of Wallkill.

According to the MTA, Engel was struck by a New Jersey Transit Authority train and confirmed dead at the scene.
An investigation is ongoing by the MTA Police.

As family and friends say a final goodbye to a 23-year-old woman from the region who died after being struck in the head by a passing train, she is being remembered for her desire to help others.
Putnam County resident, Hope Mantovi, of Mahopac, was struck around 8:30 p.m., Saturday, March 19, in Woodlawn in the Bronx, said Metropolitan Transportation Authority officials.
Mantovi died on Friday, April 8, at St. Barnabas Hospital from injuries incurred during the accident.

A Hudson Valley woman who was hit in the head by a passing train while standing on a platform has died from her injuries.
Putnam County resident, Hope Mantovi, age 23, of Mahopac was struck around 8:30 p.m., Saturday, March 19, in Woodlawn in the Bronx, said Metropolitan Transportation Authority officials.
