Man Rescued From Watery Tunnel Under Train Station In Westchester Thanks to quick action from first responders, a man was rescued from a watery tunnel underneath a Westchester train station just before the incoming tide came in.  The rescue happened on Saturday, March 16 at around 1 p.m., when Yonkers Police and firefighters received a report of a man screaming for help from a tunnel underneath the Yonkers Train Station. An 8-year-old boy drowned after being underwater for some time when a boat carrying seven children and one adult flipped over in Haverstraw Bay. The incident took place around 1:30 p.m., Friday, Oct. 18, about 100 feet off of Haverstraw Bay, said Rockland County Sheriff's Chief William Barbera.
