Croton-Harmon School District Names New Superintendent A veteran educator in the region is heading south to lead a Northern Westchester school district. The Croton-Harmon Union Free School District announced that it has unanimously approved a multi-year contract for Stephen Walker to take over for current superintendent Deborah O’Connell, who is retiring in January. Walker comes to Croton-on-Hudson from the Sullivan West Central School District in Sullivan County, where he has served as superintendent since 2018, overseeing approximately 1,100 students. Croton-Harmon Assistant Business Superintendent Retiring Soon Not many retirees can say they are opening a new chapter in their lives that will include international travel and a new marriage.  But Croton-Harmon Assistant Superintendent for Business Diane Chaissan of Newburgh is about to turn that page. Chaissan will be retiring in January, closing an 11-year career in the Croton-Harmon Union Free School District that she said she has enjoyed immensely. “I love this district.
