WAPPINGERS FALLS, N.Y. - Kevin McDermott initiated a string of four consecutive pins for visiting Hen Hud as the Sailors took control in an eventual 47-29 win over R.C. Ketcham in a high school wrestling match, Tuesday.
McDermott pinned Joe Murphy at 3:10 of the 132-pound bout. Tom Wardrop followed with a finish, also in the second period, of Grant Megeary at 138 pounds. John Leonardo pinned Logan Mongelli 44 seconds into the third period of their 145-pound match and Josh Perlmutter concluded his 152-pound bout 39 seconds into the second period. Phil Siegel, who remained undefeated this season, kept the winning streak going with a 10-5 decision at 160 pounds.
Dareem Belvu (220) and Sean Barry (285) also pinned for Hen Hud. Mike DiPietro (99) won by decision and Jack Wagner (106) registered a technical fall.
