Croton-Harmon Boosters Set Spring Calendar

CROTON-ON-HUDSON, N.Y. – The Croton-Harmon Booster Club, which supports sports activities in the community, has a slate of events that will complete a winter calendar and move into the spring.

The Booster Club will host the Mel E. Darling Wrestling Tournament at Croton-Harmon High School on Sunday, a change in schedule due to Saturday's expected snow event. The meet will include 10 area high schools beginning at 9 a.m. and run through the late afternoon finals competition.

Croton-Harmon High School is also hosting the first round of Section 1 wrestling playoffs sometime in mid-February at a date to be determined

The calendar of spring events begins with an April 4 fundraiser at Gaetano's Italian Grille in Croton from 7-11 p.m. Local resident Paul Agosta and his band Blue Water have donated their time for this event.

On Saturday April 21, the Croton Girls Track Meet will be held at the high school. The meet is one of the largest girls’ track meets in the area with participants from around 25 high schools, including most of the local schools.

The Croton-Harmon Golf Classic, the Booster Club’s most important fundraiser, will be held on Monday, June 18. Last year’s classic was held it at Hollowbrook Golf Club and included 110 participants. The event also includes contests, prizes, raffles and dinner.
