MONTROSE, N.Y. Hendrick Hudson school district officials are saying there will be "consequences" for the perpetrators of a high school prank, in which "2012" was spray painted in pink at nearly the pinnacle of the high school building.
The first "2" in "2012" was spray painted backward. School officials say they dont have any suspects but are reviewing security video.
"We're looking into it, and there will be consequences for the students involved," said district spokesperson Rick McCormack. "We're treating it as a prank."
He said no police report and the district would handle the matter internally. As of noon Thursday, he could not say what the consequences might be for students involved.
McCormack said the school probably will paint over the graffiti on Thursday.
