Costello Pulls Ahead, Knickerbocker Leading In Town Board Race

UPDATED: 12:33 a.m. CORTLANDT, N.Y. -- The five-person race for two Cortlandt Councilman spots is called with 86-percent of the vote in as of 12:33 a.m.

Cortlandt Town Supervisor Linda Puglisi ran unopposed for a 12th term.

Democrat Debra Costello holds the top spot with 25-percent of the vote.

Republican Theresa Knickerbocker and Democrat Seth Freach are neck-and-neck with 21-percent.

Supervisor Linda Puglisi ran unopposed for her 12th term. 

Domenic Volpe, John Lentini, Knickerbocker, Seth Freach and Carter-Costello ran for two seats on the Cortlandt Town Board replacing the retiring Ann Lindau-Martin and John E. Sloan.

Volpe was running for the third time on the Independence and Working Family Party Lines while Lentini and Knickerbocker were on the Republican ticket. Freach and Carter-Costello were running on the Democratic line.
