Danbury resident John Victor Medeiros, 18, was arrested on Route 7 in Danbury shortly before 11 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 9, after State Police tracked him down following reports of a motorist on the interstate who was “throwing things” at them.

After locating Medeiros’ Audi on Route 7 and pulling him over, it was determined that he was allegedly under the influence of alcohol and lacked a legal driver’s license, police said.

Medeiros was arrested, transported to Connecticut State Police barracks in Southbury and charged with driving while intoxicated and illegal operation of a motor vehicle without a license. Bond was set at $2,000 and Medeiros is scheduled to appear in Superior Court in Danbury on Tuesday, Jan. 28.
