Firefighter Suffers Injury Battling House Fire In Montrose

MONTROSE, N.Y. -- A firefighter was injured battling a house fire on Angela Drive in Montrose Monday morning.

According to fire officials, the fireman was transported via ambulance. The Montrose Fire Department is still on the scene fighting the blaze.

The fire began early in the morning. All occupants were out of the the three-story house by the time firefighters arrived, according to fire officials.

Heavy fire was reported on the second and third floor. Con Edison was called due to a wire on the ground, according to fire officials.

Firefighters from Ossining, Verplanck and Croton are providing assistance.
