Croton Police Expect Traffic Delays This Weekend

The Croton Police Department is advising residents to take extra time getting around town this weekend because of the annual Clearwater Festival. It takes place on June 18 and 19 at Croton Point Park, and because of its popularity in the Hudson Valley traffic tends to increase around the village.

“There’s a triple down effect,” said Lt. Harper, of the Croton Police Department. “You get extra traffic in the village.” The worst traffic will likely be concentrated around the Route 9 exits used for the Croton Train Station, on Route 9 Northbound and Route 9 Southbound.

The traffic will start to build on Saturday morning, and it’s “periodic throughout the day,” according to Harper. People attending the festival should also be advised that parking at Croton Point Park still costs $10.
