The Recreation & Parks Department offers fitness, yoga, and dance classes, youth sports, trips, and special events for all ages. Preschool-age children can participate in playgroups and summer camps are available for elementary school children. The department offers a youth employment service that matches youth and potential employers with jobs such as babysitting and yard work. Defensive driving classes, including the AARP class for senior citizens, are available.

Senior citizens may also join a senior citizens club; participate in fitness programs, book discussions, mall shopping trips and use of a shopping bus to take them to local stores. Parks & Facilities include the community room at the municipal building, Croton Point Park & Playing Fields, Dobbs Park, Duck Pond Park, Senasqua Park, Senasqua Boat Basin, Croton Sailing School, Silver Lake, Sunset Park Playground, Firefighters Memorial Field, Spencer Field, Harrison Street Park, Skate Park, Vassallo Park, and Black Rock Park. Dobbs and Duck Pond Parks feature baseball fields, basketball courts and playgrounds.

 Senasqua Park and the nearby Boat Basin feature a boat launch ramp and mooring spaces, picnic facilities, and playground. Croton Sailing School nearby Senasqua Park, offers sailing lessons to teens and adults. Silver Lake is open for swimming, by permit or daily fee. Some parks and facilities are open only to village and school district residents. Firefighters Memorial Field has facilities for softball & baseball. Spencer Field offers its track for public use. A handicapped accessible trail is available for walking/jogging along the Hudson River. Harrison Street Park offers a playground for young children. Vassallo Park has an outdoor stage and hosts special events throughout the year. Black Rock Park has facilities for fishing, strolling and picnicking.
