Cops: Woman Charged with Weapon Possession

CORTLANDT, N.Y. – A resident of Seven Oaks near the Cortlandt Town Center was arrested and charged with two misdemeanors, criminal possession of a weapon and menacing by New York State Police. Police say the woman brandished a machete-like knife at two women when they returned to her house after an altercation to recover some property.

The incident was reported on Saturday, Feb. 18, at approximately 12:20 p.m.

In other police news:

Theft of Services Jennifer L MacDonald, 33, of Putnam Valley, was arrested and charged with misdemeanor theft of service at 3131 E. Main St., in the Town of Cortlandt. The incident was reported to New York State Police on Friday, Feb. 17, at approximately 8 p.m.

Petty Larceny Vianda U. Katjivena, 20, of Shrub Oak, was arrested and charged with misdemeanor petty larceny, at 3131 E. Main St., in the Town of Cortlandt. The incident was reported to New York State Police at approximately 2:50 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 16.
