BUCHANAN, N.Y. -- Residents in the Buchanan area are beginning to see financial benefits, with the payments-in-lieu-of-taxes (PILOT) agreements between Entergy with Buchanan and the Hendrick Hudson Schools, reported lohud.com.
Although the agreements between Entergy, Cortlandt and Westchester County are still pending, the increase in PILOT payments should hit approximately $31 million, reported lohud.com.
Buchanan residents will see an increase of at least $2.6 million per year and the Hendrick Hudson PILOT will increase to approximately $24 million, according to lohud.com.
