Friday, Feb. 24

Tony Jefferson CD Release Party  - Tony Jefferson will have a CD release party at the Bean Runner Café in Peekskill, the café is located at 201 South Division St., Peekskill, behind the Peekskill Coffee House. Admission is $10, music begins at 7:30 p.m. Call 914-737-1701 for more information.

Teen Canteen in Cortlandt  - The Muriel H. Morabito Community Center in Cortlandt will be open to kids ages 11 to 18-years-old beginning at 8 p.m., and running until 10:30 p.m. Activities include open gym, basketball, board games, bumper pool, ping pong, foosball, and arts/crafts. Saturday, Feb. 25

Croton Indoor Farmers Market Community Markets will hold its weekly indoor farmers market in Croton, featuring fresh produce, bread, cheese, fish and other fresh food. The market is located in the Van Wyck Shopping Center on Maple Street in Croton, the indoor market is in the former Blockbuster Video space, next door to Capriccio’s II. The market opens at 9 a.m. and runs until 1 p.m.

Who’s For Dinner? Meet Teatown’s new Barred Owl and learn about the swampy forested habitats where they dine. Guides will show an owl pellet to see what was on the menu for Teatown’s resident owls. This event begins at 10 a.m., registration is required, call 914-762-2912 ext. 110 for more information. Teatown Lake Reservation is located at 1600 Spring Valley Road, Ossining, N.Y. Chris Brown Artist Reception Artist and musician Christopher Brown captures famous and familiar characters through illustration and song. He will perform original songs from his latest album Characterist, joined by guest artists Peter Calo, guitar, and Lincoln Schleifer, bass. The artists reception will begin at 6:30 p.m. at the Croton Free Library, followed by a concert at 7:30 p.m. The Croton Free Library is located at 171 Cleveland Drive, Croton-on-Hudson.

Sunday, Feb. 26

Artist Reception, “Where Have All the Flowers Gone?” An artist reception will be held for a group show at the Hendrick Hudson Free Library, featuring members of the “Valley Artists Association.” The reception begins at 1 p.m., and ends at 5 p.m. The Hendrick Hudson Free Library is located at 185 Kings Ferry Road, Montrose. Holistic Healing Breast Cancer Yoga Breast cancer survivors and patients are invited to a free yoga class in Croton, from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m., taught by Solange LaBonne. There will also be a meditation class led by Amy Newman. The class will take place in Hudson Yoga, located at 5 Old Post Road, Croton-on-Hudson.
