LaMarr W. Barnes, 27, of Peekskill-Cortlandt

CORTLANDT, N.Y.  – LaMarr W. Barnes, 27, a resident of Peekskill and Cortlandt, died Friday evening after he was involved in a head-on collision on the Bear Mountain Parkway in Cortlandt.

Mr. Barnes was a carpenter for two years, and a member of the Carpenters Union Local #275 of Newburgh. Barnes was called a natural comedian by friends and family. He is survived by his mother and stepfather, Carole and Jeffery Wilson, his fiancée, Mari Peryero, his son, Exavier LaMarr Barnes, his two brothers, Christopher and Kyle James, his sister, Cassandra (Jeremiah) Tejada, and his nephew, Mekhi Gray.

The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 p.m., and 7 to 9 p.m., on Tuesday at the E.O. Curry Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held, also at the funeral home, at noon on Wednesday. Interment will take place at Hillside Cemetery.
