ALBANY, N.Y. -- State Assemblywoman for District 90 Sandy Galef will kick off a series of town meetings in January where she will meet with constituents to discuss issues of state and local concern.
Galef will visit libraries in Westchester in the towns of Ossining, Montrose and Peekskill, as well as several in adjacent Putnam County.
The assemblywoman said she plans to discuss topics such as the new progressive income tax, the property tax cap, mandate relief, organ donation, hydrofracking and ethics reform and said she will also discuss her priorities for the 2012 legislative session.
There are no snow make-up dates planned, but if a particular meeting is cancelled in one municipality due to weather, district residents are welcome to attend other town meetings on different dates.
If the weather is inclement, residents can call Galefs district office at (914) 941-1111 or call the host library for an update on whether the meeting will be held as scheduled.
