Croton Village Historian, Lambruschi Dies at 79

CROTON-ON-HUDSON, N.Y. - Village Historian of Croton-on-Hudson, Mary Lambruschi died on Oct. 18. She was 79.

A dedicated member of the Historial Society of Croton-on-Hudson for the past 15 years, Lambruschi served as assistant historian for 10 years before she was appointed village historian last June.

Lambruschi was born in Ossining on Jul. 23, 1932 to Louis and Margaret Konco. She also worked as a secretary for Maryknoll Catholic mission for 15 years. Lambruschi was married to the late Reginald Lambruschi, the former Chief of Police of Croton-on-Hudson.

She is survived by her son Louis Lambruschi, her sisters Margaret Morabito and Judy Cummins and two grandsons.

Visitations will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. Friday at Edward F. Carter Funeral Home in Croton-on-Hudson. A funeral mass is scheduled for 10 a.m. on Saturday at Holy Name of Mary Church, with interment to follow at Bethel Cemetery, both in Croton.
